Susanne and Joe had the most amazing backyard wedding at her parent's house just outside of Asheville.  Susanne had been dreaming of getting in the orchard behind the house since her parent bought the house years ago.  There is just something about a backyard wedding that is so freeing and fun for the couple and the guests.  There is no time limit of when you can arrive at the venue or when you have to leave, you get ready in the comfort of your own home, and the reception become a elegant backyard picnic where everyone can kick off their shoes, dance, and play games with the kids.  The part that Kurt and I find really great (after 2 years of marriage) is that you can go visit the place that you started your marriage anytime you want.  Needless to say, we freaking love backyard weddings.

With the money that Susanne and Joe saved on a venue they spent on wonderful food, music, a great wedding planner to keep thing running smooth, AMAZING music, and Susanne's dress which we could go on forever about.  Susanne dress was a bespoke heirloom redux dress by Ship to shore Clothier, they took pieces of fabric and dress detailing from four generation of Susanne's family's wedding dresses to hand-craft her ethereal Boho gown.  Well we could certainly talk about this wedding forever but it comes back to that tired, old saying...a photo is worth a thousand words.  Congratulations Susanne and Joe, we couldn't be happier for you too.

Don't forget to check out the list of incredible vendors after the blog.
